Brookside School 54 proudly serves 375 students in grades Pre-K–6 on the near eastside of Indianapolis.

The mission of Brookside is to meet the academic, social emotional, and physical needs of the families and students of the neighborhood through collaborative partnerships, individualized learning plans, and extended learning opportunities such as after-school tutoring and summer learning hubs.

The vision of Brookside is to end generational poverty through the advancement of equity, excellence in academics, literacy for all, and a year-and-a-half growth for all students at Brookside.

Students in exploratory schools have access to a college-prep, rigorous curriculum as well as a full range of enrichment program offerings that enable students to explore their interests. IPS exploratory schools provide students with high-quality teaching and learning experiences enriched in ELA, math, sciences, the arts, and an instructional model that enables the students to explore and achieve their fullest potential.
